140 experts lined up to take part in Second Strategic Automotive Encounter
Encounter to address globalization in the industry after the crisis and the role of Latin America | 21/06/2011Bilbao, 21.6.2011--- AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center and management promotion association APD will be playing host to 140 professionals from the automotive industry at the 2nd Strategic Automotive Encounter in Bilbao on July 6. Held at the AIC facilities, the second edition of this particular professional rendezvous is scheduled to examine Globalization in the Industry after the Crisis-The Role of Latin America.
The congress will be looking into the new geo-strategic, technological and commercial paradigms emerging after the crisis and the major role of Latin America, particularly Mexico and Brazil. Representatives from carmakers and tier 1 suppliers will be in attendance, together with other players and clusters essential to the drive to improve competitive levels.
Representatives from car makers include OPEL fabrication manager Gustavo Céspedes and Wolfgang Bogoll, BMWs Purchasing Vice-president for Spain, North Africa and the Americas. From tier 1 suppliers, AIC and APD will be welcoming GESTAMP Chairman Francisco Riberas, CIE AUTOMOTIVE Executive Vice-President Ignacio Martín and Karina Jiménez, from CONTINENTAL Mexicos Purchasing Department.
Top names from other leading players and clusters will also be there, including Paulo Sotero, Director of Brazils national vehicle-maker association ANFAVEA, Manuel Montoya, Director General of the automotive cluster of Nuevo León, Raúl Rúan, Director of Mexicos automotive industry development center Centro de Desarrollo de la Industria Automotriz and Yon de Luisa, head of economic development at Celaya (Guanajuato).
Supporting the encounters are PwC, Euopraxis, Sisteplant, I68, the automotive cluster of Nuevo León, Mexicos automotive industry development center and leading sector magazine Autorevista.
