Second Edition of AIC NEXT forthcoming

On November 24 in Boroa experts from a range of specialties talk about their vision of the automotive world in line with the TED.com model | 14/11/2011

Bilbao, 14.11.2011—On November 24, the AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center is to host the second edition of the AIC NEXT Forum-Creativity, Innovation and Values.

Inspired by the TED.com methodology, the project is basically an encounter for experts from a range of disciplines to exchange ideas and work out new concepts associated with the automotive industry.

At this latest edition, running under the title A new way of seeing the automotive world. Convergence or divergence?, the experts will be offering a broad spectrum of visions. César Caicoya (IDOM) and Mauro Fiore (MOVUS) will be dealing with architecture and mobility, bloggers like Javier Moltó (KM77) and Guillermo García Alfonsín (AUTOBLOG) will be having their say, as will humanists like Xavier Van der Stappen (who has been round the world in an electric vehicle) and Aitzol Fernandez, who has developed a new concept in urban logistics with the EVOLO project.

The initiative is part of an AIC policy designed to identify new trends in the automotive industry and analyze the future in a different way. The idea is to make AIC a benchmark center for people and organizations from sectors with links to the car industry that are working on new ideas, concepts, developments or businesses and which are on the lookout for anything that might shed light on what the future is going to be like.

AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center is an open innovation center that integrates knowledge, technology and development under one umbrella in a bid to improve competitiveness in the industry. It is a foundation promoted and backed by Biscay Provincial Council, Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua city halls, a group of leading edge firms from the automotive industry and Basque automotive cluster ACICAE.
