AIC launches Project Leader Program

First program designed by AIC Training Unit 19 industry professionals taking part | 24/04/2009

Amorebieta-Etxano, 24.4.2009--- As part of its strategic bid to offer value to the automotive industry, AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center has launched the first course designed by its training unit (AIC Training Unit) addressed to professionals in the industry.

The Advanced Project Leader Program is a response to the growing demand from the sector for professionals who know how to manage complex projects with different clients over several countries. The first edition has surpassed all expectations, with the number of places on the course being extended from 15 to 19.

Beginning on 24 April, the 408-hour, 9-module Advanced Project Leader Program is being given by lecturers from several prestigious organizations, including Ricardo Engineering, Europraxis, Sisteplant, Renault Consulting, ESEUNE and Lea Artibai Ikastetxea.

Project Leader is embedded in AIC TU, whose general objectives involve increasing automotive professional training levels in all categories, facilitating new qualifications for the future of the industry, acting as an external/internal training center for automotive businesses and attracting talented people to the sector.

Other initiatives also under way include a Course on strategy and deployment of objectives in industrial companies and the Lean Workshop on cost saving in times of crisis.

Run by Basque automotive cluster ACICAE, AIC is a foundation backed by Vizcaya Provincial Council, Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua city halls and a group of leading-edge firms form the automotive industry.
