AIC to host Spanish-German Automotive Congress

150 auto industry professionals expected from June 17 through 19 | 27/05/2009

Amorebieta-Etxano, 27.5.2009--- From June 17 though 19, AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center will be welcoming 150 European auto industry professionals for the tenth edition of the Spanish-German Automotive Congress.

Over the years, the Congress has evolved into a major rendezvous for the European automotive industry, where management from carmakers and providers meet to exchange experiences and explore the trends in a range of issues. Talks will be given by representatives from Volkswagen, BMW, Nissan and Honda, among others.

On this occasion, the overall Congress title is Strategy-Check for European Car Manufacturers and Suppliers. Some of the main issues for discussion are:

• Carmaker and supplier anti-crisis strategies.

• Institutional aid measures for the automotive industry.

• Supplier financing.

• Current and future market situation in India, China, Russia and South America.

• Purchasing strategies.

• Innovative production and logistical processes.

• Going Green-Future propulsion systems.

• Technology and innovation.

A tour of Daimler Vitoria is also planned to see company facilities and its industrial capacity.

Run by Basque automotive cluster ACICAE, AIC is a foundation backed by Vizcaya Provincial Council, the city halls of Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua and a group of leading-edge firms in the automotive industry.
