More than 100 experts from different fields gather at AIC NEXT

Analyzing the future of the automotive sector using the TED.com model First edition February 18-19 | 16/02/2010

Bilbao, 16.2.2010— The AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center will host

more than 100 experts from various fields at the 1st AIC NEXT forum, February

18-19. This project takes

inspiration from the TED.com format and provides a forum for thinkers from

various disciplines to exchange ideas and explore new concepts related to

creativity, innovation and values/ways of thinking.

With this goal in mind, speakers and attendees include

designers, architects, strategists, laboratory heads, R&D directors, economists

and marketing executives, as well as entrepreneurs, university professors and

engineering students.

This initiative is part of the AIC’s aim to identify new trends in the automotive

sector and analyze the future in a novel way, becoming

a place of reference for people and organizations in automotive-related fields

which are molding the future through their new ideas, concepts and businesses.

Speakers

include: philosopher Daniel Innerarity; Alfonso Albaisa (Vice President, Nissan

Design Europe); Shaun Riordan (geopolitical expert); Pedromari Olaeta (Managing

Director, Ingeinnova); José Solaz (Director-Automotive, Biomechanics Institute

of Valencia); Javier Villalba (Director, Spanish Network Business-Iberdrola);

Gonzalo Alonso (Director, Going Green); Jaime Moreno (President, Mormedi);

Alfonso Martínez Cearra (Director, Bilbao Metropoli-30); José Ignacio

Hormaeche (Director, EVE) and Alberto Ceña (Director, REVE). There is also a

section for entrepreneurs, who will present their projects with the hope of

gaining support for their initiatives.

AIC is an international benchmark center

located in Bilbao, Spain, integrating knowledge, training, technology and

industrial development in order to improve the competitiveness of the

automotive sector. The state-of-the-art public/private foundation opened in 2009.
