570 people attend AIC training programs in 2009
Training Unit ran 2 programs, 18 courses and 5 workshops during the year All set to launch second Project Leader Program | 11/03/2010Amorebieta-Etxano, 11.3.2010--- As part of its strategy to increase the levels of professionalism in the automotive industry as a whole, AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center provided some form of training for 570 people in 2009.
Given by the AIC Training Unit, 2 specific programs (project leader and engineering in innovation), 18 new courses on a range of subjects and 5 highly specialized workshops were addressed to professionals in the industry. An e-learning system was also set up, so that in future courses can be offered online.
AIC TU is currently occupied with the launch of the second edition of its Advanced Project Leader Program. The aim is to provide a response to the industrys growing need for professionals who know how to manage complex projects with several clients in a number of countries.
Beginning on 26 March, the second edition lasts 400 teaching hours, divided into 9 modules. Members of the teaching staff are drawn from prestigious organizations like Ricardo Engineering, Sisteplant, Renault Consulting or Lea Artibai Ikastetxea.
The Advanced Project Leader Program is embedded within the AIC Training Unit, which in general terms has been entrusted with increasing the training levels of car industry professionals in all categories, facilitating new qualifications for the industrys future, acting as an external/internal training center for companies in the industry and attracting talented people to the sector.
AIC is a foundation promoted and backed by Vizcaya provincial Council, Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua city halls, a group of leading-edge businesses in the automotive industry and by Basque automotive cluster ACICAE. It covers a range of activities connected with the accumulation and creation of knowledge, training, technology and industrial development, all of which should lead to improvements in competitiveness in the automotive industry.
