The Financial Times singles out AIC

Automotive center “guarantee” of industry’s competitiveness | 07/10/2010

Bilbao, 7.10.2010--- Under the title “The Basque Country, Global outlook in industrial heartland”, the Financial Times yesterday underscored the role of the AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center as a major factor guaranteeing the competitiveness of the automotive industry.

In his report, journalist Mark Mulligan describes the integration of firms of all sizes and specialties at AIC as a big point in its favor. Firms at the Center are ideally placed to share ideas and technological developments, with a view to positioning themselves at a global level, in the way the carmakers themselves are currently doing.

AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center AIC is a foundation promoted and backed by Biscay Provincial Council, Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua city halls, a group of leading edge firms from the automotive industry and Basque automotive cluster ACICAE. AIC integrates knowledge, technology and industrial development under one umbrella in a bid to improve competitiveness in the industry.
