| 07/12/2010Bilbao, 7.12.2010--- On December 13, 14 and 15 AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center will be running a course on Lean Flow Management in Internal Logistics. Production based on firm orders or stock replacement (PULL FLOW).
The course is designed to help attendees:
· Learn the techniques needed for Pull Flow.
· Learn to master the techniques required to avoid variability in production order and ensure complete coordination between logistics and production, to achieve substantial improvements in production.
· Learn the improvements to be made in client order entry by applying techniques to reduce the Forrester effect of demand magnification, such as leveling (heijunka) and others associated with planning cycles.
· Learn the improvements in start-up and materials supply through the concepts of supermarkets, logistic cells, logistic trains, standardized supply and dynamic supermarkets.
· Learn to integrate all tools in a coherent TFM (Total Flow Management) system with high productivity levels, short delivery deadlines and high quality.
Achieving these objectives usually means stock reductions of around 30%, and a 40% reduction in surface area required, thus improving service levels.
Main target groups for the course include operations and factory managers and department heads and staff from the production, logistics, quality, engineering, planning and continuous improvement departments.
The course itself is part of the AIC Training Unit remit.
