Mondragon university students Visit AIC

42 students from Mondragon University today paid a visit to AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center to find out first hand how the Center works and to get to know the companies installed at the facilities | 16/10/2015

While they were there, the students viewed AIC’s open innovation model and the Gestamp and CIE Automotive R&D units. At the same time, they were given an explanation of the significance of the Basque automotive sector, its management levels and its international business interests.

AIC and Basque automotive cluster ACICAE director Inés Anitua said the visit was “part of our policy to spread the word about the capabilities of the Basque automotive industry and to attract talented people to the sector”.

This is the second time MU students have visited AIC, drawn by the Center’s innovative model. The students in this particular group are from the second year of the University Master course in Industrial Engineering.

AIC-Automotive Intelligence Center is an open innovation center that provides a single umbrella for know-how, training, technology and industrial development initiatives designed to improve competitive levels in the automotive industry. More than 700 people from 30 organizations work at AIC facilities.

AIC founders include Bizkaia Provincial Council, the Amorebieta-Etxano and Ermua city halls, a group of cutting-edge companies from the automotive sector and Basque automotive cluster ACICAE.
